drift-print research archiveが、香港の出版社viction:aryによる書籍『A Book on Zines — New Aesthetics in Zine Design』に掲載されました。viction:aryは2001年創業、デザイン・ビジュアルアート分野の書籍を国際的に刊行してきた出版社で、本書は世界各地から選出されたZINE・アートブックを収録する国際的なリファレンスです。
drift-printは、台湾・宜蘭の堆積岩を撮影し、青と黒の二色によるリソグラフ印刷で存在しない海景を現像するプリントリサーチ。写真の被写体はすべて岩ですが、色変換と印刷固有の版ズレによって、波の動きと奥行きを持つ海景が現れます。地質の記憶を印刷操作によって可視化するリサーチ実践が、本書に収録されました。

Founded in 2001, viction:ary has built an international catalogue of books on design and visual art. This volume is a global reference collecting selected zines and art books from around the world.
drift-print is a print research project that develops seascapes from photographs of sedimentary rock along the coast of Yilan, Taiwan — through two-color Risograph printing. Every image depicts rock, not sea. Through color conversion and the misregistration inherent to Risograph printing, wave movement and oceanic depth emerge from the surface of stone. This research practice — making the geological memory of matter visible through print operations — is among the works collected in this volume.
