KOSEKO DESIGN&PRESSは、土地を「読む」ことから始めるデザインユニットです。その土地の素材や風景を採集し、まだ知られていない視覚を、デザイン・展示・アートブックへとかたちにします。

KOSEKO DESIGN&PRESS is a design unit that begins by reading a place. We collect the materials and scenery a place holds, find the visuals no one has noticed yet, and shape them into visual identity, exhibitions, and publications.

01 RESEARCH

デザインの前に、

土地を読む

まず現場に立ち、土地・素材・風景の表面を採集します。観光的な「美しさ」ではなく、その土地だけが持つ視覚——色、テクスチャー、時間の蓄積を探します。デザインの素材は、土地そのものから見つかります。

Before designing, we read the place.

We begin on site, collecting the surfaces of land, material, and scenery. Not the “beauty” a tourist would look for, but the visual that belongs to this place alone — its colors, textures, and accumulated time. The material for design is found in the land itself.

02 DESIGN

土地の視覚で、

かたちにする

採集した素材を、その土地ならではのグラフィックにしていきます。VI、展示グラフィック、アートブック——伝えたい相手と場所に応じて、最適な形に。

Shaping it, from the place itself.

We turn what we’ve collected into graphics that could only come from that place. Visual identity, exhibition graphics, art books — shaped to fit the audience and the setting.

私たちは、出版をルーツに持つデザインユニットです。土地の記憶をアートブックとして残す──それがKDPのアーカイブ制作です。配られて終わる記念誌ではなく、時間が経つほど価値を持ち続ける一冊を設計します。自主研究の出版物は、国内外の書店やアートブックフェアでも扱われています。

Publishing is where we come from. We create archive books that preserve the memory of a place — not as records to be shelved, but as assets that grow in value over time. Our own research publications are carried by bookstores and art book fairs in Japan and abroad.

researcher / artist / designer

日本・神奈川県出身。武蔵野美術大学・大学院でヴィジュアルコミュニケーション表現の研究を行った後、2016年にアートブック出版レーベル小瀬古文庫を設立、アートブックフェアや展覧会での発表を通じてデザインの実験成果を発表している。タモリ倶楽部出演、KG+入選、UNKNOWN ASIA EricZhu賞受賞ほか、Hyperallergic、Spoon&Tamagoなど国内外のアートメディアに掲載。既存のデザインの領域を越境する活動を志向している。2025年台湾のアーティストインレジデンス「浪花藝術空間 Surfy Space」に採択され、滞在制作を行いました。（Photo: Pan Su）

illustrator / designer

中国出身。武蔵野美術大学大学院デザイン専攻修了。メーカーやデザイン事務所での実務経験を経て独立後、KOSEKO DESIGN&PRESSに加入。デザイナー兼イラストレーターとしてユニットの活動に携わる一方、個人活動ではデザインとイラストレーションの関係性を主題に研究と実践を行う。表現の幅を一つの画風にとどめず、人間が本来もつ多面的で立体的な在り方を映すように、多様な画風を織りなすことを目指す。その試みとして、自らの表現の可能性を体系的に整理・提示するプロジェクト「illustration index 100」を進行中。（Photo: Pan Su）
