The 8th issue of the Gitai Collection explores the sculptural relationship between planets and bakeries. This experimental art book magazine connects the vast cosmos with everyday scenes through graphics, by likening planets to bakery drinks and foods. It delves into new perspectives on viewing bakery drinks and foods, such as the diffusion and mixing of Earth’s atmosphere and milk, the formation of spherical shapes in lunar craters and carbonation bubbles, and the correlation between the surfaces of celestial bodies and the textures of bread. From this work onward, it is a collaboration between husband and wife, with Yafa Koseko, the wife of Tomoyuki Koseko, responsible for the illustrations.
Gitaiコレクション第８号は惑星とベーカリーの造形的関係性がテーマです。惑星をベーカリーのドリンクやフードに見立て、壮大な宇宙と日常の光景をグラフィックで繋ぐ実験的なアートブックマガジンです。地球の大気とミルクにおける拡散と混合、月のクレーターと炭酸の気泡における球形の形成、天体の表面とパンの肌理の相関性など、ベーカリーのドリンクやフードを眺める視点に新たな思考を探ります。本作から夫婦での共作で、Tomoyuki Kosekoの妻であるYafa Kosekoがイラストレーションを担当しています。
