trans-perception｜テクノロジーによる知覚や認識の拡張
We experiment with graphics that explore new perceptions and awareness brought about by technology. For example, when a map image is transformed into red, it may start to resemble raw meat. Through computational color transformation, previously unseen visual interpretations can emerge. We define the act of expanding visual perception through such serendipitous effects of image technology as “trans-perception” and conduct research into new perspectives through print expressions and exhibitions.
私たちは、テクノロジーによって生まれる新たな知覚や認識をテーマに、視覚表現の実験を行っています。たとえば、地図画像を赤色に変えるとその要素が食肉に擬態して見えてくるように、コンピューティングによる色変換によって、これまで見えなかった新たな視覚が現れることがあります。こうした画像技術がもたらす偶然性によって視覚の可能性を拡張することを、私たちは「trans-perception（擬態）」と定義し、プリント表現や展示を通じて新たな視点をリサーチしています。
